CALIFORNIA VOTERS SLAM OBAMA-STYLE SPENDING PLANS

California voters yesterday resoundingly rejected the liberal governor’s plans for massive expansion in spending.  If you can believe this, Schwarzenegger’s solution to the recession was to massively increase spending – very similar to Obama’s solution.  But yesterday the voters of one of the most liberal states, soundly rejected a series of new spending Propositions. Voters of one of the most liberal states rejected these spending increases by a two thirds majority.  The "mental health funding" proposition failed by 66.4% to 33.6%.  Other propositions failed by similar margins. MORE EVIDENCE THAT VOTERS REJECT DEMOCRAT POLICIES:

RasmussenReports reports that 50% of Americans favor building more nuclear power plants.  This goes against the Obama administration’s extreme reluctance to free up this powerful source of energy.  Nancy Pelosi receives her highest unfavorable ratings yet.  46% of Americans think we are winning the war on terror compared to 25% who don’t.  Republicans are now polling within 1 point of Democrats on who Americans think will best handle the economy (44% Dems – 43% Republicans).

Americans are with us on the issues – especially when they get the full story from the media.  Yet Obama’s approval ratings remain sky high at 58% – 41%.  People like Obama, but they don’t so much like his policies.  He is likable, no one can argue with that.  But what we need to do is show people the disconnect they have between Obama the person and his policies.  We have to keep a steady drumbeat going about what his policies are and how they will negatively impact people’s lives.  So keep talking about his policies.  And check in with this web site to get the latest stories that will arm you with the details you need to share with your friends.
