Oh, okay; I get it! As long as it’s not a Christian-based celebration, the Muslims get a day set aside for everyone to celebrate? Aside from Christmas and Thanksgiving, Christians should also have another special day too, while we’re at it!

I’m not Muslim at all. In fact I’m a 30 something white male born and raised in the great Commonwealth of Virginia. I just believe that people should not jump to conclusions solely based on another persons race or religion. It is ignorant to believe that a majority of Muslims are bad.

On another note, if a majority of Americans do believe this, it is because of the liberal media. They want you to be afraid of everything. That way you’ll stay in your house and watch the news for updates while big government takes care of you. Don’t let the liberal media be your only source of information.

You are watching too much liberal news my friend. According to the CNS web site (http://cns.miis.edu/research/wtc01/alqaida.htm) Al-Qaeda consists of 2,830 members and those members have trained 5,000 militants. I’ll round up and make it 8,000 Al-Qaeda terrorists. According to Wikipedia “Currently, the number of Muslims is estimated to be between 1.25 and 1.84 billion” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muslim). That means that Al-Qaeda isn’t even close to 1% of the Muslims in the world. So you are telling me that a majority of those billion Muslims are terrorist extremists? That would be a low estimate of 625,000,001 extreme Muslim terrorists. That is over 780,000 times the size of Al-Qaeda. I’m sorry but I don’t believe there are that many Muslim extremists. A majority of Muslims are not extremists. Also, please post a link about that Masque if you have one. I would like to know how a Masque in the US was funneling weapons to Al-Qaeda. Thanks in advance.

Is that why groups like Al-Qaeda get funding and support from everywhere there are Muslims? in including here! Here where I live we have a Masque attended by so-called moderate Muslims but it was discovered that this Masque was funneling money and weapons to Al-Qaeda,and similar groups. Moderate Muslims are actually the minority, and the moderates aren’t actually following the Quran(thank God).I wish there were more moderate Muslims I really do, if wishes were money I’d be a billionare

You can say the same thing about the Muslim extremists. The Klan and the Nation believe they are Christian just as the Al-Qaeda believes they are Muslim. Only a small percentage of Muslims participate in extreme activity. Just as if you ask moderate Christians about the Klan and the Nation, if you ask moderate Muslims about the extremists and they will say that they aren’t true Muslims. They claim to be, but they aren’t.

The difference,ju0034 is the Klan and the Nation aren’t Christian.They claim to be,but they aren’t. Their hatred isn’t based on religion,but on race.If it was religious, their biggest target would be Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam(whose hatred and intolerance are based on both race and religion).You know how many black Christians there are? Jim Jones was an Ass clown, Also not a Christian despite his claims.

Anti-Lib – Yes I do think we should make nice with the Muslim nation but not with extremists. Any extremist group is bad but Muslims in general are not bad. Would you prefer that we kill all Muslims? Maybe put them in concentration camps? Force them to wear a patch that says Muslim? We’re getting closer and closer to being a Socialist country anyway so why not be like the Nazis.

We are a country of freedom and that is what makes us different. Muslims have the freedom to practice their religion without prosecution and that should not change. You should not judge someone based on their religion.

Jonathan C – I think the KKK or the Aryan Nation would be a good example of that. They are known more for race issues but they are also Christian extremists and would expel anyone who is not Christian. They don’t really move into other countries though; that I know of anyway. Maybe the Peoples Temple and Jonestown? I’m not an expert on religious groups or extremists but those are off the top of my head.
